Psalm 91 Church

Have you seen the Psalm 91 Church on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, MI?

God has been trying to reach you. There's an internal tugging inside of you drawing you to something real, something true. Some have seen numbers in your head that have been jumping out to you. For some, when you saw the psalm 91 on the outside of this building on Michigan Avenue you felt a deep desire to know what this all means.  Some of you may even have dreams of the Man in White.

How are you going to respond to all of this?

At this point you have more questions than you have answers and God knows that too.

Read Psalm 91.  See the blessings of comfort and protection that he has for you and pay very close attention to the end of the chapter which is the most critical.

Psalm 91:14

“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;

I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.

15 “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble;

I will rescue him and honor him.

16 “With a long life I will satisfy him

And let him see My salvation.

Note that He says “because you have loved Me that He will deliver you.” Then it concludes with the great promise, that God will “let him see My salvation.” God wants to show you His path for salvation.

Jesus says in John 14:21  He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”

Do you see the connection yet? The psalmist said because you have loved me he will deliver you . Salvation through Jesus has always been God’s plan for you!

And John 14:6 Jesus laid it out really clearly that He is the way the truth and the life and that no one can come to God except through Jesus

Do you feel unworthy of His Love, and His Sacrifice?  That is normal. In fact, in the book of Romans it tells us that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  The feeling that you have of shame and unworthiness of the love of God is common to everyone.  But, it also tells us in Romans that God showed his love for us while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.  While we were still in our shame and guilt He sent His son Jesus to die for us. So it wasn't because we were good people or deserving but because God loved us first.

So how do you receive this love of God? The truth is there's nothing you have to do but receive it. Ephesians tells us that you're saved by grace through faith and it's not our own works. It's not what we do but it's God's gift to us not a result of our actions that we could be prideful and feel that we did something good enough to receive salvation. No, it's just humbling ourselves to receive a free gift.

If you believe that Jesus is the Lord, that you would surrender your life to Him, meaning that he is now going to direct your steps and you are going to give up fighting and trying your own way and simply surrender your life to the plan God has for you.  Then you make that bold confession that He is Lord of your life and believe in your heart that God raised him up from the grave and He's alive today, then you will be saved!

We'd love to connect with you and tell you more about what God has in store and help you along the walk. You can't do this alone. God designed the church as a support system, like a family, to help us walk on the path He has for us. At Springwells Church our Vision is that we are a body of believers that are going to heaven together and we would love to have you be a part of it.
